Be On Your Guard
Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith;
be courageous; be strong.

Dr. Eddie L. Hyatt discussed in his book: “Revival has been reduced to an exciting, entertaining, self-centered, religious event. The shallow values driving an egotistical, entertainment-driven culture have found their way into the Church and are reflected in what is now called ‘revival.’”[1]
Revival has tarried today. For decades, the historic religious revivals had been considerably shaped the Christianity. However, the present global churches and modern societies have steadily moved away from Biblical teachings. The inability to protect or to guard the Church features a damaging effect in all areas of Christian ministries. How can the Christians preserve their commitments today, experiencing while they do in the midst of an increasingly word-influenced society?
As to my surprise when I did my research on the internet, I discovered, many security guards were the thief, murderers, rapists, and illegitimate detainer and so forth. What a failure! Similarly, the Christians as spiritual guards of the world fail at promoting the Lord Jesus’ prayer “Let your Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven” and as a result, the world becomes more sinful gradually.
We know the tale about Trojan horse and how the Greeks destroyed the city of Troy. I used to be amused of the statement at the Wikipedia that “Metaphorically a ‘Trojan Horse’ has come to mean any trick or stratagem that causes a target to invite a foe into a securely protected bastion or place.” The online virus reports, at the AFP Relaxnews, about the Trojan horse –– the most harmful online threat of 2017–– is alarming. To safeguard the viruses, the strongest anti-virus must be installed on the computer.
Look around you, you would realize the spiritual Trojan virus has plagued the Church and many Christians were infected. The tastes of Christness have gone, and the sense of Christness is sometimes disappeared. This is the point in time for Christians to take the burden as Watchmen of God and warned others to “be on guard for false doctrines and contend earnestly for the faith.” You have a mission.
